Michael S. Hebert

An advisor with First National Corporation since 1997 and a partner since 2008, Mike became President of the firm in 2010. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Finance from Bentley College, Waltham, MA. Prior to attending Bentley College, Mike was a Distinguished Military Graduate of Bryant College, Smithfield, RI with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
Mike attained the rank of Captain in the US Army, where he held numerous leadership positions culminating in command of a 60 soldier company at Fort Lewis, WA. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal and the Parachutist Badge.
Formerly an Investment Advisor Representative of Linsco/Private Ledger, Mike is currently a registered representative of Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments and is a licensed life and health insurance broker.
Mike is married to Maureen, a litigation attorney with Metropolitan Insurance Company, and has two daughters Gabrielle and Syndey. He lives in Marshfield, MA and enjoys sailing with his family—both racing on Hingham Bay and cruising in Newport RI. He is Past Commodore at the Hull Yacht Club and Past President of the Rhodes 19 Class Association. He is a co-founder of Sail Nantasket, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Hull, MA (www.sailnantasket.org).

Jason T. Skolnick

A partner in the firm since 2008, and Treasurer since 2010, Jason joined First National Corporation in 1998 as an Investment Advisor Representative. Previously, Jason worked as an account executive with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Jason is currently a registered representative of Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments, and is a licensed life and health insurance agent.
Jason graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Economics. Pertinent courses included: Micro and Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Corporate Economics and International Business. He was elected to the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society as a result of superior achievement in his economic coursework. He has taught over 150 financial management seminars to Boston area physicians and medical residents.
Jason and his wife Jennifer, an Emergency Medicine physician, live in Boston with their three daughters, Sarah Rose, Ariel and Liat. They enjoy tennis, skiing and the arts. Jason is the current President of Congregation Kehillath Isreal in Brookline, MA and founder of TrueWealth MD (www.truewealthmd.com).

Kenneth G. Seropian, QPFC
Ken joined First National Corporation as an Investment Adviser Representative in 2010. Designated as a Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC) by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (“ASPPA”), he has over 14 years of experience advising private, public and not-for-profit employers on their company sponsored retirement plans and investments.
Prior to joining First National Corporation, Ken served as Vice President of Retirement Services at USI Consulting Group; Regional Director for Sentinel Financial Group; and held various roles at Fidelity Investments, including Investment Consultant and Sales Counselor, servicing their Large Plan Service market. Ken served as a technical consultant and advisor to Plan Sponsors, assisting with the design, implementation and transition of defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
Ken has a B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst. He is also a licensed Life, Accident & Health insurance producer.
Ken and his wife, Melissa, live in Norfolk, MA with their two children. They enjoy spending time together traveling, hiking, and camping. Ken is an avid golfer.

Sherm has been associated with First National Corporation since 2001 after retiring from a thirty-eight year career in the investment field. His last eighteen years prior to 2001 were with the Boston mutual fund organization, The Pioneer Group, Inc., where he served as a Senior Vice President and Director of Fixed Income Investing. He is also a former Investment Advisor Representative of Linsco Private Ledger.
In the late 1990’s, Sherm successfully completed the College of Financial Planning Certified Financial Planner education program, fulfilling a desire to stay involved in the financial planning and investment advisory business after retirement. With his training and extensive investment background, he helps clients define and achieve their financial goals.
Sherm and his wife, Bonnie, live in Hingham, MA. They have four grown children and four granddaughters. They enjoy being grandparents, traveling, beaching, gardening and golfing.

Philip G. Nehro, CFP®

Phil joined First National Corporation in 2008. He moved from Darien, CT with his wife Jill to reside in Falmouth, Massachusetts and to establish an investment advisory practice. His previous 40 years of investment experience included positions with Salomon Brothers Inc and Alliance Capital Management in New York City. He was also a principal of P. Schoenfeld Asset Management, a privately held investment firm in New York.
Most recently as a Financial Advisor with Smith Barney and Principal Financial Group, Phil has been helping business owners and individuals design, execute, and monitor investment and financial strategies.
Phil completed the necessary CFP® course work at the College of Financial Planning and fulfilled the examination and experience requirement to be designated a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. He holds an MBA degree in Finance and a BS degree in Psychology from the University of Detroit. He is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. Phil is member of the Financial Planning Association, the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, and he is on the board of two charitable organizations.
